My ambition
Good morning/afternoon Miss Chia and 6A, today I would like to share with you what is my ambition when I grow up. There is one very important ambition in my life. For each point, I would elaborate more about why I want to be, what are the advantages and disadvantages and so on. Now, I am going to tell you the first ambition that I had:

My ambition is actually to be a doctor. Why? Most people may think that a doctor may just be a doctor. A doctor is just a normal job. However, in my point of view, I think that being a doctor is more than what you normally think a doctor is. A doctor is also more than a job. Have you ever wondered what if there are no doctors in the world? None at all. Of course, the next thing that will happen is that the world will be “filled with diseases”.

Do you really know what the doctors do?

Doctors actually make people healthier. When people get sick, doctors figure out why. They give people medicine and other kinds of treatment. They also give advice about diet, exercise, and sleep. Doctors use science to figure out what is making people sick. Doctors examine people, listen to them describe their health problems, and do tests to see what is wrong.

There are many kinds of doctors.
-Family and general practitioners
-Specialists
-Internists
-Pediatricians
-Surgeons and so on

Although you may think that they are just those normal doctors, you are definitely wrong. Each of them plays an important part or role in our country like the science topic we have learnt, Human System. Maybe the different doctors work together in order to “function our body parts” like the muscular system and the skeletal system.

Introduction

This picture depicts a scene in a classroom. There are many students in the classroom. One of their classmate is making a speech on , My Ambition. Talking in front of everyone and ten over pairs of eyes are looking at you but she was not overcome with fear. In order to make a excellent speech, you need courage first of all and secondly, you need to speak naturally not being forced to say something. I wondered if I am the one standing in front of the whole class, I will be shivering in fear and I am not able to utter any word. Difficulties of doing anything must be overcome in order to have enough courage.

Normal

A girl, who was standing in front of the class is making a speech of her ambition. She seemed to be very confident. She may be well-prepared too. She is gesturing her hands and this could tell that she was not afraid of having an eye contact with the audience. She could interact with them too. I could empathised with what she was saying and she seemed to be like talking to a friend. There was also a wide grin on her face as she might be happy with her own speech.

I think that some of the classmate find it humorous as they was laughing away. This can be link back to one of our school’s habits of mind like Finding humour. I applaud her for being so brave and could even talk without a sign of fear. If I were to talk about my ambition in front of the whole class, I would sure tremble in fear and did not dare to utter any word.

Wrong and consequence

Two boys, who was sitting at the last row, was snatching the paper with each other. They were just snatching for a blank paper. They seemed to be fuming mad with each other. Nobody had decided to gave up their chances of getting it. They were just pulling and pushing each other while one of the girls is making a speech. I think that they should give respect to others when they are talking . It is an inconsiderate manner when someone “destroy” the atmosphere in the class.

I praised her for concentrating on her speech without being disturb by distractions coming from the boys. One of the girls, with the ponytails, is our monitor and she is putting one of her finger on the mouth. This shows that she is trying to make the boys keep quiet. However, it was fruitless and to no avail. I suggest that she should talk to them politely about this matter to stop them from continuing to fight.

The boys’ voice was stirring up the tranquility of the classroom. It may disturb other classes which was nearer to sound. A bespectacled women ,who may be their teacher, is raging with anger with the behaviour of the boys. She was also staring sternly at the two boys, feeling very angry and clenching her wrist altogether. She hope that one of them will stop fighting again.

I think the teacher should do the right thing to discipline the children. I will suggest
that she must also teach them that the classroom is not their home and they have to be considerate to other people and be well-behaved in a classroom. We should not make so much noise as we may disturb the others. It is important for parents to start inculcating the right values in the child when they are young and teachable.

Conclusion

Talking about our own ambition s a very good topic to talk about as there are a wide variety of jobs you can choose. It can be a job but it can also be more than a job. Actually, if you are well-prepared, you will be confidence and you can talk on you way. It can also train our skills to interact with others and practice Oral at the same time when we are talking about one of the conversational topics.

Introduction

This picture depicts a scene in the music room at the school. It seemed to be a class music period for the students. They are enjoying to play their recorder while the teacher is playing the piano with them. I think they should follow closely to the lyrics and speed of the song. Some people seemed to be enjoying their music lessons but some are just pretending to play with the table as a piano. If many people could play together without any mistakes, I guess it will be a melodious piece of music that may be better than the teacher’s one. Most of them in the class are paying attention to what she had said and joining in the fun of playing recorder.

Wrong and Consequence

There are two girls sitting at the last two rows on the floor. The girls are not even paying attention and they are just pretending but the teacher did not really notice about this. A girl with pony tail, is snatching the music book from the girl behind her. Actually, she did not bring their book as she left it at home. I think she should no have snatch it .I suggest that they share the book with each other or borrow from her in a polite way. In this way, she would surely agree to lend you the music group. I personally think that she should have inform the teacher to let her settle with it rather than wasting time and not gaining anything at all.

I think that it is an inconsiderate behaviour to snatch other’s thing when you are not allowed to or you did not even ask for permission. The girl can have tear her book if the girl refuse to barge in. It is also a very rude behaviour as she is not showing respect to the classmate. I think she should apologies to another girl for her wrongdoings. If I am in the picture, I will be raging with anger and staring daggers at her for being disgusted by her learning attitude. Even if she ask for forgiveness, I will not forgive her also unless she is sincere enough.

Wrong and consequence

Two boys are sitting at the side near the window. One of the mischievous boy is wielding his recorder while hitting the friend’s head. He seemed to be in great pain. He was also moaning in agony as it was really very painful.

I personally think that the boy should not have done this as it might cause him to suffer from head injuries, too much blood flowing out and also lead them into a mild concussion. Fighting is just to either to defend yourself or to cause more troubles.

The teacher seemed to be oblivious to the surrounding and she is concentrating in playing the music. I applaud her for being able to do her own things when there is something happening.
When someone did something wrong , the first person you should approach is the teacher as she can help you solve the problem. It is better to not keep it to yourself as you will feel more stress and homework piling on us each day. The teacher should at least look what is happening around the room before proceeding to her songs.

Conclusion

Music lessons in the music room can help us by relieving our stress and also take it as a time where you can relax. Listening to music can be someone’s hobby so that they can spent their time wisely rather then doing unnecessary things. Closing your eyes while listening to music can make someone imagine a place that they dream to go or a very beautiful scenario. It helps to make someone’s imagination go wild and add on to their creativity.

Introduction

This picture depicts a scene at the hospital. The ward has only one visitors visiting the elderly man who is recuperating from his illness. It may be during visiting hours as there are people visiting him. It is important to take care of our own body as we must always stay healthy. Who would want to end up like the old man in the hospital. It could cause us to suffer from physical pain and you will definitely not have freedom to do what you want as you move around. Nowadays, medical cost are very high especially in Singapore. If you get into long term illnesses, you may get into financial problems. It may be a burden for the family too. The elderly man seemed to be staying alone in a one room ward. In this way , it will be more quiet and peaceful as nobody would disturb him. Unless someone visits him. He should rest more as this could allow him to recover faster.

Normal

A nurse is standing at the side of the weak and elderly helping him to adjust the pillow to a right and comfortable position. She seemed to be a very kind helpful and caring. The old man may feel dicomfortable lying on the bed with a cast that is wrapping around his legs. I empathise and sympathise with him being so uncomfortable. Mostly most people could not bear with the pain and the feeling of being uncomfortable. I really applaud him for his courage. Even though he is already very old, he could still resist the pain. The nurse who helps him has a wide grin on her face. She seemed to be cheering up the elderly man so that the man would not be very lonely staying alone.

I personally think that he had been involved in a accident or tripped onto a rock and fell down. He has sprained his legs due to anyone of the accident and so on. To me, I feel that the old man should be more careful and cautious next time whenever he walks. When a person grow older and older, the bone will also grow weaker and weaker and it is easily to be fractured. I suggest that next time if he decides to go out, someone should follow him and take care of him so that he can be more careful. Old men are actually frail. However, I wish that he can recover as fast as possible and have a speedy recovery.

Being a nurse is not as easy as most of the people think. They have to be very attentive to a variety of patients. Patients must also take their medicine daily following a routine. They must also ensure the safety of al the patients. Sometimes, she also need to help the doctor in a surgery or in a critical condition where patients could not breathe and so on. This are the mainly cases of the things happening in the hospital.

Wrong and consequence

A bespectacled woman sitting on the chair seemed to be the daughter of the elderly man. She was staring daggers at the two children, who may be her children, is fuming mad and raging in fear. They were running around the ward playfully. They are playing tag at the aisle in the ward.

Their laughter is contributing to the noise level in the room. The sounds will disturb their grandfather easily and he will be distracted by their noise. It is such an inconsiderate act. Worst, it might also stir up the tranquility of the whole hospital that is quiet. She look furious and seems to be warning them to stop their mischievous act. The children should not make a din and treat the hospital ward as a playground. They should sit down and have a quiet game instead if they want to have fun.

I think the mother has done the right thing to discipline the children. I will suggest that she must also teach them that the hospital ward is not a playground and they have to be considerate to other people and be well-behaved at a public place. It is important for parents to start inculcating the right values in the child when they are young and teachable.

Conclusion

A hospital ward is where patients live and no noise is allowed in the hospital. It is part and parcel of our responsibility to keep quiet in the hospital as patient need to rest in a hospital. It might help them to have a speedy recovery. I think we should behave ourselves in the hospital rather than embarrassing ourselves.

Introduction

This picture depicts a scene in a hall. There are many people in the hall. There is a performance on the stage. They seemed to representing the school’s choir members to perform for their parents. Performance can help them o gain an experience of what it is all about. It is good to have a rough knowledge of sanding on the stage and know what the feeling is like.This will help a person to have ideas to interact with others rather than not knowing anything. In order to perform on the stage, they must have courage. They must also overcome feelings like fear and nervousness.

Normal and cause and effect

There were six performers on the stage. They are dressed neatly in their own attire. There is also a difference in their attire for girls and boys. They seemed to be very experience in singing. They are singing melodiously in a group of six, The Fantastic Six. I personally thought that girls are better in singing than boys. Most girls will take part in choir rather than boys. However, there was a same amount of numbers of girls and boys but the boys are also trying the best in singing. There is a wide grin on their face and they are gesturing their hands as an action while singing. They seemed to be very brave performing in front of the audience without any fear.

Although it may not be a competition, no matter what we do, we must always do our best and put in our effort. Some people take singing like a torture but some take it as a hobby to relieve stress and spend our time wisely to relax. I feel that they are very professional from their looks and I would applaud then for their bravery. If I am one of them, I would try my best to sing but I would still tremble in fear.

A bespectacled boy standing at the side is putting his hands on his stomach. I think he may have a stomachache as it may have cause by not eating anything before performing or feeling too nervous standing in front of all the audience. The girl standing beside him was holding on to her long sleeve attire to support him as he may be in great pain. He may also be moaning in agony and could not resist it. The four other performers standing beside him are oblivious to what was happening around them. They continue to sing even though they were distracted and they were all concentrating in what they are supposed to do. The girl beside him was scared and did not know what to do. She was shocked upon seeing the bahaviour of the boy. She is calming the boy down as she know that the boy could not bear the pain anymore.

A lady who was walking towards the boy. I personally think that the lady is the boy’s teacher. She may be worried for the boy as he may faint or even fall onto the ground. She is also trying her to calm him down too. I think the others should carry the boy to sit on a chair to rest for a while so that the pain will slowly decrease.

A man, sitting on one of the chair, is worried for him. I think that he is the father . Knowing that his son is not feeling well or could not sleep due to nervousness, he should not take his son to participate in this performance. Even though he is not feeling well, the teacher will not blame him. He should have inform the teacher earlier rather than keeping quiet. This will make him feel more frightened as he might embarrass himself.

Conclusion

Having to perform on the stage, is a very good experience. It will make people fell honored to stand on the stage performing for their parents. This can also make the parents feel proud of their own child being able to have this golden opportunity. It is not easy to stand in front of everyone without fear. If someone is filling unwell, he or she should have inform the teacher earlier so that it will “destroy” the atmosphere of the performance.
